Editor of JET Streams

This was an in-house position which I held from August 2020 until August 2023, the whole of my time working at the Council of Local Authorities for International Relations (CLAIR).

I acted as Editor of the following editions of the newsletter, JET Streams, a publication created by CLAIR for Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Alumni. The newsletter is run approximately three times a year, for a circulation of around 13,000 people. This publication was created in both English and Japanese as a bilingual production. It aims to connect former JET Programme participants with Japan and keep them updated of JET Alumni community news, as well as topics relating to CLAIR, Japan’s local government organizations, and Japan’s international relations.

JET Streams features interviews, personal articles, opinion pieces, news from JET Alumni Association chapters around the world and other topics of interest to JET Alumni, as well as those running the JET Programme.

Editions of particular pride include interviewing the former Japanese Ambassador to Ireland, Mitsuru Kitano about public diplomacy, as well as my own article written as a JET alumna, My Tanabata Wish, which was featured in JET Streams in 2021.

Editions of JET Streams which I edited can be found below:
