This was an in-house project which I worked on during my time as Programme Coodinator of the Japan Exchange and Teaching Programme (JET) at the Council of Local Authorities for International Relations (CLAIR).
The JET Programme Handbook is updated every year to ensure maximum clarity for JET Programme participants entering Japan to take up their appointments at their contracting organizations. The work was split amongst two teams in the Department of JET Programme Management at CLAIR, with each person handling writing, fact checking and proof reading of different sections. My work on this project resulted in improvements to the consistency of the English, as well as additional text clarifying the rights of pregnant JETs and JETs who are caregivers.
This project was conducted intensely over a period of several weeks, with a lot of revisions and corrections. It required excellent team work, communication and organization.
