Tiger in the Land of Dreams by Tiger Tateishi is published in English by 50 Watts Books. I worked to proof read and correct the English translation of the work. I also helped write the marketing copy and translate and compile a featured bio about the author.
This was my first introduction to the work of Kōichi “Tiger” Tateishi, who worked in a variety of media including comic books, illustrated books, painting, sculpture and ceramics during his prolific career. Tiger Tateishi was inspired by science fiction, including the work of American author Robert Sheckley, and explored science-fiction themes in his work. Sadly, Tiger Tateishi passed away at only 56 years of age. However, during his career, he brought unparalleled imagination to many genres through his mind-bending works.
